This is a Flow Blue soup bowl in the “Le Pavot” pattern. It was made by W. H. Grindley & Co. of England. Approximate date of manufacture is 1896. Diameter: 7 5/8 inches. This bowl has a glaze flake on the bottom edge of the bowl and several tiny glaze flakes on the rim, the worst of which I have photographed. Also, there are some knife marks in the center, but no chips, cracks or crazing. (Glaze flakes are not flakes in the pottery, but in the glaze.) The Flow Blue dinnerware from this period was considered more utilitarian than precious at the time. See my matching soup bowls in this pattern (2), listed separately. If you'd like to purchase more than one, msg me and I'll make a bundle for you to help you save on shipping.
I live in the Tampa Bay area for local delivery.
